While answering the call for new blood over at What She Said!, I found my answers to the online interview as psychologically revealing to the inner workings of Smashed Frog, as to just why I-or bloggers in general-continue banging on the keyboard day after day after day.Take a gander.

When did you start blogging? Why do you keep at it?
Summer 2006....I'm trying to save this country one blog at a time. My grandmother's family dates back to Jamestown and includes Robert E. Lee in our family line. Blogging is my battlefield.

***
What are your most important issues?
Civil rights, civil liberties, the effects of litigation entertainers on the mindset of the viewing public, the effect of political lawmaking on those Americans without power.
***
What’s the nicest recognition you’ve ever received from the media and/or the blogosphere?
Additionally, I still get the warm fuzzies when someone out there discovers the Frog and adds me to their blogroll. I think that's just the best.

***
Who is your audience? What is unique about your blog?
Anyone political who has a sense of humor. What is unique? My consistently unique point of view.
***
***
Most frustrating aspect of blogging?
That readers don't comment enough. It's nice to get feedback once in awhile, even if the point of view is opposite of mine.
***
***
What’s the one point you’d like a reader to take away from your blog- the one thing for them to really “get”?
That this country has a Constitution that applies to everyone..not just those with power.

You're a Holy Crap Liberal?
I guess I should comment by saying that when it comes to commenting I don't understand how some blogs (ahem atrios) do little or no commentary and receive hundreds of comments and blogs that offer alot of commentary receive little or no commentary.
Stopping short of lighting a fire under one's ass, I'm not sure what more there is to wake people to the fact that they've been bamboozled into a believing that which doesn't exist.
Ha ha!
I would say that some of the highly commented upon blogs were out there first and perhaps at one time, did contribute more as far opinion and editorial commentary.
Now-since they have made their mark and built a readership-perhaps they feel their message is out there and those loyalists will continue to frequent the blog, even if all that is written is:
You've been bamboozled.
Then-of course-there are always the "hanger on" types and the "wannabees", that just want to get close to those deemed Blogger Royal and comment away, hoping for a majestic nod from those they hold in such high esteem.
I just want to get the message out.
I like the idea of lighting a virtual fire up someone's ass.
If you build it, they will come.
