Mark Foley--He's BAAACK

Note to self after watching Hillary Clinton projected as winner of the New Hampshire primary.

Crying works.

But will the same work for Mark Foley?

Many thought it was all over but the crying for the man who singlehandedly brought crushing defeat to the Republicans back in Fall 2006 due to his skill in never texting a young man he didn't like.

A little bit of texting here, a smidgen of texting there, here a text, there a text, everywhere a text, text.....

The Feds may give up, but the FDLE? These ole Florida boys never give up.

Back in August 2007, Old Mark's House attorneys cited constitutional exemptions, and denied Florida law enforcement officials access to the former congressman's computers.

Investigators believe Foley may have used the machines to send illegal sexually explicit messages to former congressional pages.

Such denial led media to spin the message that Foley would not be charged.

Not so fast.

According to The Blotter (ABC News), FDLE Commissioner Gerald Bailey has ever-so-eloquently requested that Speaker Nancy Pelosi "grant access to any and all computer equipment that the U.S. Government possesses that former Representative Foley utilized during his time in office. (...) Access to these computers is critical to the Department's ability to move this case forward."

Speakers for the Speaker insist the Office wishes to cooperate with law enforcement but wishes to confer with their ace House legal team, those same crackerjack whiz kids who kept the hot little hands of the FDLE off Foley's computers in the first place.

It's a new year...and an Presidential election year at that.

I wager Pelosi gives Mr. Bailey the keys to the House.
